KCIC began in 2002 as a consulting firm that focused on helping companies maximize the value of their insurance assets. This was the origin of our left rail: Traditional Consulting Services. Our core skill was using our consulting expertise and leading-edge technology to model the economics and litigation risks of the most complicated coverage programs.
In time we also established a reputation as a leader in administering asbestos-related personal injury claims. That led us to develop our game-changing Ligado Platform. Ligado is the foundation for our right rail: Platform-Related Consulting Services, but it is only part of the story. Our highly responsive consultants are just as critical to helping our clients survive the tort system.
Eventually, we woke up to the fact that we had become a technology company, as well as a consulting firm. We develop and design all of our platforms and software in-house, and our technologists are front and center — talking to clients and hearing about their challenges first hand.
That reality led to our third rail: Custom Solutions. Combining our consulting skills with our ability to deploy technology quickly, KCIC can solve all sorts of problems — often in spaces where we haven't traditionally operated.
